Vaccines are injections of material that contains weakened amounts of the disease germ that they are meant to protect against. They are said to work by causing the formation of antibodies, which are proteins that defend the body from an invasion by harmful germs. Orthodox medicine contends that we can only be absolved from the peril of infection by vaccination, which involves injecting into the system infectious material which is supposed to confer lifelong immunity, hence the term “immunization.”

I’ve seen a lot of nonsense about vaccinations but this particular article is really amazing. It tries to claim some really bizarre things:

• That vaccines don’t actually make you immune to anything 
• Vaccines did not eliminate Polio, it was already going away on its own
• Same for diphtheria, measles, rubella, mumps and whooping cough. All of those things are actually caused by vaccines, not cured by them.
• Via a quote from some random doctor in London, people are dropping dead in the prime of life due to vaccinations and it’s always hushed up (conspiracy!!!)
• Booster shots prove that vaccines don’t actually work. (somehow)
• Vaccines cause not only autism but also SIDS, ADD/ADHD, Legionairre’s Disease, and HIV
• Cancer didn’t really exist until vaccines were introduced, and one doctor claims he’s never seen cancer in an unvaccinated person.

It’s some pretty amazing bullshit right? Did you know vaccines also caused 9-11, all the recent earthquakes, and Community being put on hiatus? Man, vaccines are terrible!

But apparently people believe this stuff! Anybody can write up some wildly imaginative bullshit and put it on the internet, and people believe it! Meanwhile decades of research, statistics and PEOPLE NOT HAVING POLIO all over the place are somehow not good enough, because people think scientists are evil liars who want to make you sick. And there is no rational way to argue with someone who thinks you’re evil.

The cancer line, along with the bit at the end about how a healthy diet means nothing bad will happen to you ever, especially makes me want to pull my hair out. Because cancer has ALWAYS been with us. Ancient Egyptian and Greek physicians documented cancerous tumors. The Persian Queen Atossa (wife of Darius I) survived Breast Cancer by having her breast cut off in 500 B.C. These are facts. Claiming cancer didn’t exist until 1940 is ludicrous.

And claiming that living in your personal proscribed manner means someone will be healthy forever is not only contrary to reality, it’s really shitty for people who do get something like cancer when they have been healthy all their lives. Because claiming you have a program makes it their own fault that they got sick - they didn’t eat right, they didn’t pray enough, they didn’t think positive - and blaming someone for their own illness is disgusting.  I can’t tell you how many health fanatics, fitness instructors, etc, I have met who now have cancer even though they did everything they thought they were supposed to do to stay healthy. Healthy people get sick all the time. That is reality. Denial will not save you from it.

I’m getting way off track here but in conclusion - people who peddle this stuff, fuck you. You are endangering people’s lives by scaring parents away from vaccinations. You are endangering children. The next baby who dies of whooping cough because other idiot yuppie parents didn’t want to give their kid a shot, their parents should be able to sue you.  

PS if that doctor is Wakefield he has been struck off for being a giant assface (technical term) and poor practice and helping to generate a measles epidemic with specious bullshit that the papers decided to run with because we are a bunch of poorly-educated shy-ponies about science here AICSJ HSOACHIAUCHIUAGCAIG HATE HATE HATE.

PERSONAL ANECDOTE TIME:

When I was in Sixth Form (year 12/13) they brought out the Meningitis C vaccine. Two people in my class didn’t take it. One was my friend, who was recovering from mono and the other was me who had about six years of anti-vax brainwashing from my mother. So I didn’t get the vaccine.

Guess who had a thoroughly fucking awful and nearly fatal time about 16 months later when she got … Meningitis C?

YEAH.
